6 posts you didn’t read but should have

I love holiday weeks!  We have spent the week in Missouri with my parents and thoroughly enjoyed celebrating the Fourth with them.  We’ve been eating homemade ice cream, laughing at the dogs playing (a Bichon and a Basset Hound – it’s really funny!), and playing Uno.  Not a lot of time for blog reading, ya know?

Perhaps you haven’t had as much time for checking your Reader or visiting links on Twitter either.  This might help! Here are a few posts you didn’t read but should have.

6 posts you shoud have read - design by insight

  1. Yes, You Can Stay on Top of Email from Michael Hyatt {@MichealHyatt} – A system that works!  I have been using this email management plan from Michael Hyatt for about 2 years and consistently keep my email inbox cleaned up.
  2. Create a Viral Post in 5 Simple Steps from ProBlogger {@ProBlogger} – Practical and realistic.  But, in the words of the author, “I said it was simple, but it ain’t easy. In fact, it will take a lot of work, but it can be done.”
  3. The One Secret to Using Twitter Successfully from LiveHacked {@NickThacker} – Nick suggests creating an “in list” and offers simple guidelines for doing so.  He reminds, “Twitter is all about building trust, making connections, and adding value. These things take time, and they’re impossible to fake.”
  4. Five Steps to Take When Your Book Is Still a Work-in-Progress from Next Step Editing {@SandraPeoples} – For all our writer friends, these are excellent suggestions for managing your work-in-progress.  By the way, we highly recommend Sandra for editing and have added her to our Resource Recommendations page.
  5. 12 Must-Do Tasks for the New WordPress Site Owner from Copyblogger {@Copyblogger} – Great list and not just for new WordPress bloggers.  Simple steps to take to make the most of your blog.

Have you read any excellent blog posts lately?  What “must read” post would you recommend for us to check out?

{Edited on May 29, 2013. Yes, there are only five posts now … one of the posts we mentioned is on a site that not longer exists.}
