There isn’t one cookie-cutter scenario for website design. Some clients come to me for a new website and then take care of their own site maintenance. Others prefer ongoing help to keep their sites up to date. Caroline and I have worked together for many years, and she recently hired me for a VIP Day to upgrade her site’s theme.

Just over a week ago, our area was hit by the remn

Just over a week ago, our area was hit by the remnants of Hurricane Helene. We live in Upstate South Carolina, so it’s not unusual for us to get heavy rains after a storm has hit the coast. But this was different. Storms are supposed to die down before they get this far. Helene didn’t.

You’ve likely seen the tragedy on the news (though we’re hearing that the realities of this storm aren’t really being reported nationwide, so I don’t know).

My family is safe, and our home is okay. But the remnants of Hurricane Helene were brutal. So many fallen trees and so much debris everywhere. Our power has been restored, but there are many in our county who haven’t had electricity for more than a week, with lines still down and trees blocking roads. Just an hour away from us in North Carolina, entire communities were swept away. I think most of us never dreamed a storm like this would hit us here so hard. Many have lost so much and recovery will be long.

So if you’ve reached out to me in the past week, I apologize for the slow reply. Cell service and internet have been intermittent, and I really appreciate your patience with me during this time.

This week, I should be back to normal working hours, so I’ll be able to fully catch up.
